On-Line Training Program

The On-Line Training Programs for RTU are powered by a very robust system by LightSpeedVT. This platform allows for Virtual Training with each topic area being split up into 3-5 minute segments. This allows a huge advantage over Web-Ex trainings that typical run 30-60 minutes with no breaks. Segments can be watched as many times as desired. Where applicable, CMEs are offered for the training. The On-Line Training will be used for:

  1. Graduate Degree On-Line Training Component
  2. Medical Physics Residency Training Support
  3. On-Line CME Virtual Training

The On-Line CME Virtual Training will provide training in the following areas in CY2009:

  1. Radiation Oncology
  2. Radiation Oncology Physics
  3. Medical Dosimetry
  4. Radiation Therapist
  5. Radiation Oncology Nursing
  6. Brachytherapy
  7. Stereotactic Radiosurgery
  8. Imaging Nursing
  9. PET
  10. Nuclear Medicine
  11. Nuclear Oncology
  12. CT
  13. Diagnostic Radiology
  14. Radiation Safety
  15. Health Physics

Facility and Individual membership options are available. Both facility and individual CME history is recorded in the RTU Database. Certificates and histories are available for printout at any time. The CME Virtual Training is updated with new content on a monthly basis.
